![]() First, the 2/2.5 apartments dont have a gate which I thought they did, so that was a let down. My brothers car got broken into this year when he stayed at my place for a night, which isnt the apartments fault but should let anyone know about the location. Torchlight townhomes tallahassee free#Īlso, the 2/2.5 lot only has about 8 free visitors spots, which are usually all taken up at night, so just make sure to get a visitors pass at the front office. ![]() The furniture is cheap - I sit on one section of my couch and after the first year the cover of it was all torn up, so I know Ill probably get charged for that even though thats regular wear and tear. My dishwasher doesnt drain properly and is moldy, and maintenance has fixed that before, so I dont know if theres anything else they can do about it and I appreciate their help. Maintenance (including emergency services) and front office staff are very helpful, kind, and diligent, and I believe they are the best Ive experienced in Tallahassee. The gym is a nice size although one treadmill is totally out of service and another stops after about 0.5 miles. I wont rent here again because I believe the rent price far exceeds the condition the apartments are in, and the neighborhood is not the safest. I plan to go somewhere with a gate and better working appliances, but I will miss the office staff and maintenance greatly. I spent one year in their 4x4s and one year in their 2x2.5s. My review is based on the experience overall and not specific to a type of apartment unit.Pros:-Maintenance staff has always been kind and efficient. Sometimes I have to call and follow-up, but its very rare and it’s usually because of my roommates dogs (they won’t come in with dogs present, which is understandable)-Office staff is nice-Amenities-Pet friendl圜ons:-There is an extremely high turnover rate with maintenance staff. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same maintenance person more than three times (I also don’t call them that often). I believe that’s a tribute to poor management, which makes the staff unhappy to work there. Either treat them better or pay them better. They are this complex’s saving grace.-Office staff can’t help with the majority of real issues and I think they’re told there’s usually nothing they can do, so you usually have to go through a manager to get any real problems solved. They also lack communication with one another. I had to visit the office several times last year to clear up a transfer charge (they wanted to charge me $250 or so (I think was the cost) to transfer units, even after I explained multiple times to multiple office staff members and asked to make a note in my account that I was completely moving out of the 4x4 and moving into a 2x2.5 following the lease agreement dates.)-Move out charges are astronomical. They wanted to charge me $25 to clean up a small puddle in my bathtub and $5 for a lightbulb. They’re also currently trying to charge me the full amount of August’s rent even though I moved out August 2 and my friends, who lived in the same type of units, weren’t charged that.-The units are usually not cleaned well prior to move in.
